At Kimberley we foster involvement with residents and their loved ones with our dedicated health care team to ensure our resident’s physical and mental health is promoted and achieved at an optimum level.

Health Services

Kimberley Residential Aged Care provides a holistic approach to health care, 24 hours a day by fully qualified and regularly trained professionals including nurses, carers, physiotherapist, podiatrist, activity staff, a choice of own GP or Kimberley visiting GP’s.

Dementia Care

Well recognised by peers and allied professions in this field, for over 40 years Kimberley has provided specialised care for residents with varying degrees of dementia including those with cognitive impairment / memory loss. 

Respite Care

Kimberley now offers respite care for dementia specific high and low care patients for a minimum period of 1 week to a maximum of 9 weeks per financial year. Prospective respite guests must have an ACCR (Aged Care Client Record) or ACAT (Aged Care Assessment Team) to be eligible for respite care.

Respite care can be booked 12 months in advance for eligible recipients.


Kimberley’s long-standing professional team of registered and enrolled nurses are actively involved during each shift and are responsible for providing direct care of residents and supervision of carers. They are also involved in assessments, care plans and all other clinical aspects, and form an integral part in providing total health needs and quality care in order to achieve the best possible health care outcomes for residents.

Physiotherapy & Podiatry

Kimberley’s qualified physiotherapist and podiatrist assess and oversee individual residents’ needs to promote increased mobility, dexterity and rehabilitation. Programs are developed and tailored to meet the specific needs of groups and individuals. Kimberley residents benefit from the privacy of a dedicated physiotherapist room.


Health & Wellbeing

Kimberley’s lifestyle activities program plays a key role in the daily life of residents. Kimberley recognises and values the importance that leisure and recreational activities play in the overall health and wellbeing of individuals psychologically, socially, emotionally and physically.

Family and friends are invited to take part in outings and special events such as birthdays, seniors’ week activities and the annual garden party. A dedicated on-site hairdressing salon allows residents the opportunity to enjoy life’s little luxuries. The local clergy also visits on a weekly basis.

Kimberley’s enthusiastic team of therapists have developed a range of group and individual activities that promote independence for the specific needs of residents whilst maintaining dignity and self-esteem, as well as entertain and foster relationships and friendships. The program runs 7 days a week.

Kimberley Residential Aged Care recognises the importance that a well-balanced diet contributes to the wellbeing of residents.

At Kimberley, residents enjoy home-cooked meals using high quality, fresh and local produce (where possible), prepared daily by Kimberley’s qualified chef from a purpose built on-site kitchen.

The chef in consultation with Kimberley’s specialist nutritionist prepares a four weekly rotating seasonal menu which caters for all dietary, nutritional and cultural requirements. Meals are prepared to the highest standard which meet and exceed food regulations.

Residents enjoy a variety of breakfast options including porridge, cereals, prunes, stewed fruit, cooked eggs, toast, bread, preserves, fruit juices, tea, coffee, milo, milk and hot chocolate.

Morning and afternoon tea includes home-made treats such as scones, muffins, cake or biscuits.

Lunch and dinners comprise sandwiches, salads or a fully cooked meal, with Friday lunch typically ‘fish & chips’ and Sunday lunch a traditional roast.

Alternative meals are available to residents should they feel like something different to the menu.

Throughout the week residents enjoy food tasting sessions and cooking demonstrations, and on special occasions such as birthdays, St Patricks Day, Easter and Christmas, meals are themed.

Each resident is also treated to a celebratory birthday cake.


Kimberley Residential Aged Care residents can continue to enjoy life’s little leisure’s at the purpose built on-site hairdressing salon.

At very affordable prices, residents can enjoy a haircut or treat themselves to a pamper session including a wash, cut, blow dry and style.
